Dubai Airport Launches Dedicated Check-in and Immigration Services for Haj Pilgrims

As the anticipation for the Eid Al Adha break and summer vacation grows, Dubai Airport has unveiled a dedicated corridor tailored for Hajj pilgrims, Wego reports. The initiative aims to streamline departure procedures, ensuring pilgrims encounter minimal disruptions amidst the usual travel rush.
As reported by Mohammad Al Marzouqi, head of the Hajj Committee at Dubai Airports, a private corridor will be available to facilitate the journey of Hajj pilgrims from the moment they enter the airport until they reach their departure gates. Exclusive check-in counters, passport control facilities, and designated departure gates are among the features aimed at accommodating the unique needs of Haj pilgrims.
Saudi Arabia’s imposed quotas dictate the departure of over 6,200 Haj pilgrims from the UAE, with Dubai International Airport expecting 4,600 departures. Expatriate pilgrims must adhere to their countries of origin’s quotas and procedures, with DXB anticipated to witness over 100,000 expatriate transits during the period.
